| St. Vincent May 8 - 8, 2005 |
An early morning flight (annoyingly via Barbados), and a late afternoon return (the same route) from and to our holiday island of
St. Lucia, gave myself and Tom time to get all the important birds from the island. Our driver and guide for the (at one hundred US dollars)
was very competent and probably less than the price of hiring a car for the day.
Most of the birds were seen on the Vermont Forest Trail, with the Flycatcher seen, along with Parrots from the captive breeding program, in
the Botanical Gardens.
The day was very hot, but there was torrential rain and high humidity in the forest. At sea level it was scorching.
